Saving and releasing drawings

After you have checked out a drawing as described in Routing a document in a workflow and edited it, you can easily finish working with the drawing from within AutoCAD using the single command Save & Release.

The command performs several actions for you:

To save and release a drawing:

Note    This command is not available on the BlueCielo menu or at the command prompt because it attempts to close the drawing, which prevents releasing it.

Note    If the current drawing is the parent in an assembly and the Releases the assembly document and all its references option is enabled as described in Setting actions options, only the current drawing is released. The other documents in the assembly must be released manually, if necessary.
